This particular area of  SW Florida is  "the best kept secret in Florida".  A great place to relocate.  North Port,  Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda is one of the best places in the country to live.  In fact Port Charlotte was voted the #1 place to retire in 2009, by Money Magazine.  With the beautiful year round climate and a wonderful outside living lifestyle .  enjoy sailing, boating, white sand beaches and golf right in your backyard.  Still, this area of the housing market is way below that of  Fort Myers to the South and Venice, Sarasota to the North.

Today, like never before, has prices of Luxury and Gulf Access Properties been more affordable to a larger audience of people.  These properties have dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars.  In some cases, Millions ! ! ! ! ! Some of these homes are right on the Gulf  of Mexico, some have there own beach and some are in gated communities.  
                                                               The Foreclosure Market
This area has been hit hard with the foreclosure market.  Very unfortunate for the homeowner, but there is an up side.  It is now possible for the "First Time Home Buyer" to take advantage of the low prices and makes home ownership a realistic possibility.  Prices are now below what they were in the year 2000.  If you would like more information about these bank owned properties. please contact me.
There are also many programs here in Charlotte and Sarasota Counties to help people with their down payments especially "First Time Home Buyers".  It’s now your time to take advantage of these incentives, plus the $8,ooo.
